Rigorosum Studies
Graduates of the Master´s degree in Mass Media Studies or related fields are offered the opportunity to undergo the rigorosum procedure leading to the degree of PhDr (Doctor of Philosophy). The rigorosum procedure consists of a rigorous examination and a defence of the rigorous thesis, which must demonstrate that the graduate has acquired deep and detailed knowledge in the field and can creatively apply it in practice. The rigorous thesis must contain an original elaboration of the subject or bring new results at a high level that corresponds to the standards in the field.
As part of the requirements, candidates must also demonstrate a minimum of one year´s work experience in the field, thus ensuring that the candidate has sufficient professional experience.
