Teachers of FMK UCM develop cooperation in the Philippines. They will bring home new experiences
During the working trip, they established new contacts, opened up opportunities for cooperation and gained valuable teaching experience.
Teachers of the Faculty of Mass Media Communication of UCM in Trnava - Katarína Ďurková, Martina Jakabovičová and Jana Galera Matúšová - are currently on a working trip at the University of Asia and the Pacific in the Philippines.
Their visit is in the spirit of establishing new contacts, developing cooperation and exchanging pedagogical experience, which has the potential to move the faculty even closer to the international environment.

New partnerships and opportunities for students
In meetings with the Dean of the School of Media & Marketing and the local faculty, they opened a discussion on opportunities for student-to-student exchanges, as well as collaboration in research and publishing activities. Both sides also presented their strengths and looked for overlaps that could lead to concrete joint projects.
The inspiration for the Slovak side was in particular the professionally oriented study programme in brand management or the sophisticated system of internships in marketing teams of local and global brands. Attention was also drawn to the Tambuli Awards, which annually recognise the best marketing campaigns in the country and represent an important platform for linking academic and professional environments.

Interactive teaching and faculty presentation
Colleagues were also actively involved in teaching. They prepared an interactive workshop on crisis communication for third and fourth year students, during which they also presented the University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava, the faculty itself and the city of Trnava as an attractive student environment.
In addition, they took part in teaching the integrated marketing communication case studies course, where they evaluated student campaign proposals for local brands Penshoppe and Oxgn together with representatives of the practice - the marketing director, the owner and the financial director.

Collaboration that goes beyond the classroom
The work trip not only provided professional insights, but also cultural experiences. During the joint meetings, they had the opportunity to taste traditional Filipino dishes such as Adobo, Halo-halo or Lechon, further deepening their informal relationships with local partners.
"We hope to see our colleagues from the University of Asia and the Pacific at our Marketing & Media Identity Conference, if not in person, at least online," agreed the participants of the working trip.
Foreign mobility and international cooperation is very important for FMK UCM in Trnava. They bring new impulses to teaching, broaden the horizons of teachers, lecturers, students and at the same time open the door to future partnerships with prestigious foreign institutions.
