Discover sports at FMK UCM and strengthen the community through shared activities

The International Day of Sport for Development and Peace highlights the power of physical activity as a tool for cooperation and understanding across cultures and generations.

Sports have the power to bring people together regardless of age, background, or experience, fostering fairness, respect, and team spirit. At a time when society faces various challenges, it is physical activity and shared activities that bring balance, health, and new opportunities for cooperation. Every year on April 6, we commemorate the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, which highlights the importance of sport as a universal language.

At the Faculty of Mass Media Communication at UCM in Trnava, we recognize that student life is not just about lectures and projects. That is why we also support sports activities that help build a community and provide opportunities for relaxation and personal development. One option is the faculty gym located in the gym in Jama, which is available to students Monday through Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

UCM Sports Clubs

In addition to individual exercise, students have the opportunity to join the UCM Student Council’s sports clubs. Activities include volleyball, floorball, hiking, table tennis, and dance. The clubs are open to everyone—whether beginners or advanced players. What matters is the desire to be active, meet new people, and be part of an active community.

Sports at the faculty are not just an afterthought, but a natural part of student life. They provide opportunities to make new friends, develop soft skills, and promote mental well-being. Interested students can find more information about activities and clubs on the UCM Student Council’s social media pages.
