Young female researchers from FMK receive university-level awards
They earned it through their excellent scientific and publishing activities. The winners were selected by the Council of the UCM Doctoral Academy.
The Council of the UCM Doctoral Academy awarded financial prizes to those whose achievements have significantly contributed to the development of science, research, and artistic creation at our university. A total of €7,200 was distributed among doctoral students and young researchers as part of the financial awards.
The winners were selected by secret ballot. The awards recognized excellence in scientific and publishing activities, organizational and professional activities, artistic creation, popularization of science, and promotion of the university.
Among the award winners were FMK doctors Bianka Francistyová and Lucia Furtáková. They earned recognition for their excellent scientific and publishing activities.
The chairwoman of the council, Vice-Rector for Science and Research Prof. Ildikó Matušíková, emphasized that young researchers are one of the key forces behind the development of UCM. "The achievements of our doctoral students and young researchers are driving UCM forward. Their determination, enthusiasm, and teamwork create value that is visible both at home and abroad," she told UCM.sk.
Also recognized for the best projects of 2025
At the end of 2025, the university symbolically concluded another successful project year. The final presentation of university projects provided an opportunity for researchers to present the results of their work.
Vice-Rector Matúšiková, together with the management of individual faculties, selected the three most successful projects from among all those submitted, which stood out for their originality, quality of workmanship, and contribution to the university environment. Their researchers were also financially rewarded in recognition of their exceptional work.
Among the award winners were two experts from FMK. Second place went to Dr. Ľubica Janáčková. Based on mutual agreement, the university management decided to award an extraordinary financial prize from the funds of the UCM Doctoral Academy to Matej Majerský, M.A.
