Associate Professor Ľudmila Čábyová Concludes Her Term as Dean and Strengthens UCM's Leadership

Associate Professor PhDr. Ľudmila Čábyová, PhD, will conclude her long and successful tenure as dean of the Faculty of Mass Media Communication at the University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava on June 30, 2026. Under her leadership, the faculty has established itself as a dynamic and open institution that actively responds to the challenges of the media and communications landscape.

“I was incredibly fortunate to work with colleagues I could rely on, who weren’t afraid of new challenges, and together we fulfilled our professional dreams and plans at the faculty. I owe them my sincere thanks, because everything we’ve managed to achieve is the result of our joint efforts. I’m convinced that having such people around me is the greatest blessing a dean could wish for,” said Čábyová.

In the coming period, Associate Professor will join the leadership of the University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava, where she will be appointed Vice Rector for Education and Quality at UCM. In her new position, she will build on the experience and approaches that have proven successful at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science and contribute to their development at the university-wide level.

A Change in the Faculty's Leadership Brings New Challenges

Its work is characterized by a focus on the quality of education, systematic process management, and bridging the gap between academia and professional practice. Thanks in part to these principles, the faculty has long enjoyed a strong reputation among students, the professional community, and partners in the media and creative industries.

We wish the former dean every success, strength, energy, and innovative ideas in her new position as she continues to develop the university.

UCM Rector Assoc. Prof. RNDr. Iveta Dirgová Luptáková, PhD., has entrusted the management of the Faculty of Mass Media Communication to Mgr. Juliána Mináriková, PhD., Vice Dean for Educational Activities, until the dean’s election is announced and organized; she will ensure continuity in the faculty’s leadership during the coming period.
